What IS IT with my kids and Vaseline??

The one post on my blog that gets the most hits is Jacob’s Vaseline disaster. Josh pulled a Jacob yesterday. We were unpacking the suitcase about a half hour after getting home last night, and Joshua found the Vaseline before I could put it safely away. Thankfully, it wasn’t as messy to clean up off of Joshua as it was Jacob, and it didn’t get smeared on any clothes or furniture, although it took a lot of work to clean the clippers after his haircut. Sadly, I was in love with his current curls. We found the best product (Carol’s Daughter brand – I think what we use is Mimosa Hair Honey or something similar to that name) that makes his hair soft and shiny and perfectly curled and it smells so good. And now he has his Summer Cut about 3 months early. Today never got out of the mid-30s; poor Joshy’s going to be cold for a few weeks.

“Look, Mom! Woa-shun!”

“I helping!”

Actually, Josh, you’re not. Thanks for trying.

The after shot:

Cute still. Just a little short for this time of year.

Ah, man! How could I possibly miss 2 vaseline incidences?? I miss you all terribly. I’m thinking such good thoughts for the flights to be open next week. Heck, maybe I’ll even throw up a prayer or two. (yes, I’m turning over a new leaf. even went to church yesterday!)

Oh! How did you ever get it all out of his hair? Poor guy and poor mama!

WOW! I can’t imagine trying to get all of that off Josh’s hair. Did you take an “after” picture of him too? YIKES!

Yeah, what is it with your boys and vaseline! Now Josh has a nice moisturized scalp.
