Christmas Cookie Swap!
This probably won’t work, but I’m willing to give it a try. I really want it to work!! I wanted so badly to host a Christmas Cookie Swap this year, but what with the sickness and bed rest and undecorated house (menorahs are still up – Hanukkah was over last night…Christmas tree not bought yet, most of my nativities are still in the basement) and canceled Christmas trip to San Francisco (weep for me, Argentina), the Cookie Swap at Planet Pettit just ain’t happenin’.
How about if you all post your favorite Christmas cookie recipe in the comments? OR, put it on your own blog and throw the link down in the comments for us all to follow.
That would make this girl (who still isn’t feelin’ the Christmas season hoo-ha) one happy elf. I’ll edit in a day or whatever with a few of my standards.
Merry Cookie Christmas!
(EDITED: How about if everyone can post or link to their recipes by Friday, and then Saturday I’ll do a new post with links and stuff? Yeah!!)

Okay Miss Petite Elf, does it have to be a cookie recipe? Or can it just be holiday treats?

I don’t really bake that much but I do make candies this time of year. I only bake spritz cookies and peanut butter cookies or sugars this time of year. So I threw my favorite candy recipes up on my site

I have a cookie recipe that tastes just like the giant sugar cookies with the pink frosting that you get at gas and go shops. I’ll post that and my 30 minute caramel recipe.

Fun idea. Thanks!

I don’t know the recipes for these cookies, but here are some of my favorites: Snickerdoodles, Peanut Blossoms (peanut butter cookies with the hershey kiss on top), chocolate chip, and white chocolate macadamia nut. YUM!

I love this ginger snap recipe (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Moms-Ginger-Snaps/Detail.aspx).
I always add extra ginger, cinnamon, and cloves because I like a little more spice. Yum!
