Jacob’s Play-by-Play of Dancing with the Stars, May 7
Ian & Cheryl’s Waltz:
“She has a back. There’s a lot of her back.”
Joey and Kym
During the pre-dance hoo-ha: “She has a belly button!” (she was wearing a sports bra to practice in)
They came on and I asked if he liked her dress for the waltz. “Sure. It’s pink.”
They started dancing, and he was shocked to realize that “her belly button! It’s gone!”
“It’s not actually gone. You just can’t see it.”
“Oh! Yeah.”
“Hey, Mom? He put cake on her. He put cake all over her!”
Every time they’re not dancing, but talking, which is probably 90% of the time (which is why we don’t start the show until it’s more than 1/2 way through) Jacob demands “More DANCING, Mom!”
Billy Ray & Karina (how are they still on? HOW?)
“I don’t like the purple lights. I like the white lights.”
Laila & Maks
I LOVE HER RED DRESS!!! (That’s Julie talking)
“She is going to sleep? That girl needs to wake up and dance!”
Apollo & Julianne
Jacob was too busy dancing during their performance to comment, but as soon as they were done, he kept repeating “Apollo and Julianne! Apollo and Julianne!” Then he was mimicing the female judge who said “that’s fantastic” over and over again.
Ian & Cheryl
“Is he going to put cake on her again? That was funny when he put cake on her!”
Joey & Kym
Again, Jake was too busy dancing to really watch them.
Billy Ray & Karina
“I don’t want to watch them.” Me, neither.
Laila & Maks
(how cute was that?! Love her. I totally love her.)
Apolo & Julianne
“She’s sliding on the floor. Again and again!”
“Are we done with the dancing yet? I’m done with the dancing.”
“She has a cactus, Mom. On her dress she has a cactus.”
They went to the last commercial break and Jacob walked around the living room in an announcer voice:
“Joey Fatone. Joey Fatone. Apolo and Julianne. Joey Fatone. Apolo and Julianne.”
Did you vote tonight? Who did you vote for?
